Get To Know Me

Public service has always been at the heart of who I am. I have spent my life working hard, supporting my family, and leading with integrity, accountability, and compassion for those around me. I believe that communities are built on trust, service, and respect for each other. That is what my family and I found when we came to Gig Harbor.

In 2011, we made the life-changing decision to move our family to Gig Harbor, believing it was the best place to raise our children and create a future filled with opportunity, safety, and connection. Fourteen years later, I can say without hesitation—it was one of the best decisions we have ever made.

This September, my wife Sharon and I will celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary—a milestone that fills me with pride and gratitude. Together, we have built a life rooted in family, integrity, and service.

My wife, Sharon, is a Nurse Practitioner with 25 years of emergency medicine experience. She now owns and operates Gig Harbor Medical Spa and Concierge Medicine, where she advocates passionately for women’s health and serves as an active voice in our town. Together, we raised two amazing children who graduated from Peninsula High School and are now building families of their own—guided by the same values we hold dear.

Our son Justin served honorably in both the Navy and the Marine Corps. He now works in the arts, supporting nationally recognized sculptor Casey Parlette. Justin and our daughter-in-law, Kate, are expecting their first child this September. Our daughter, Jenna, is raising our grandson August here in Gig Harbor with her fiancé while pursuing her Master’s Degree in Social Work. We couldn’t be prouder of the strong, kind, and committed people they’ve become—and the families they are building.

Gig Harbor has given us roots, opportunity, and a true sense of community. I’m running for Fire Commissioner because I believe in preserving and strengthening what makes this place so special. Whether it’s ensuring thoughtful growth, supporting local businesses, protecting public safety, or investing in our children’s future—I want to bring the same dedication and care to this role that I’ve brought to every part of my life.

This isn’t just a campaign. It’s a continuation of a life of service—to my family, my profession, and now, to the community I’m proud to call home.
